There isn’t likely to be heavy snow during the game, per Weather.com, but steady winds of 10-15 mph will blow throughout the contest. The wind and cold may make it more difficult to throw and catch the ball than usual, so each team may rely more on its running game.
Miami is coming from a warm-weather climate, so this contest figures to be particularly difficult for the Dolphins. They may be able to adjust to the conditions, but it will be worth watching how their players fare in pregame warmups and what measures they are taking to combat the cold.
The same can be said of the Packers players, but they should be better prepared to deal with the harsh, late-Fall nights that are customary in Green Bay.
Some flurries were falling early at Lambeau Field, but there were just a few flakes. NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe referred to the stadium as ‘not [Kansas City] cold, but cold.’ That was in reference to the Chiefs vs. Dolphins playoff game from last season, during which the early game temperature peaked at negative-4 degrees.
Closer to game-time, the Packers and Dolphins players came out to warm up. There was a noted difference between the attire worn by some Green Bay players and the sweat suits sported by Miami.
Not all Miami players were averse to the cold, however. Tyreek Hill, who played the first six seasons of his career in Kansas City, was clad in short sleeves and looked pretty sharp in warm-ups.

That cold weather could have a negative impact on the Dolphins, who have yet to play a game featuring a starting temperature lower than 54 degrees, per data from Pro Football Reference. Add in that Miami has won just once in the last 32 years when the temperature is lower than 23 degrees, and this short-week spot looks quite difficult for them.

There is a 36% chance of snow on Thursday, per Weather.com. However, the hourly forecast lists there being no greater than a 15% chance of precipitation from 7 p.m. ET onward. Perhaps a snow shower or two could blow in, but it seems more likely to stay dry at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.
