Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins had to be carted off of the field in Week 16.
Judkins took a hard hit from Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano shortly after catching a screen pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The running back remained down on the field in pain after the play and was immediately attended to by Browns trainers.
He was carted back to the locker room with his right leg in a brace, and was later ruled out of the matchup.
CBS elected not to show a replay of the hit on Judkins, and announcer Ian Eagle reported that the rookie suffered a right lower-leg injury. NFL Media’s Cameron Wolfe reported that Judkins appeared to get his knee twisted up on the tackle by Milano.

Quinshon Judkins injury update
Judkins suffered a right leg injury during the Browns’ Week 16 game against the Bills.
The rookie running back took a hit from Milano after catching a quick pass from Sanders. After the play, Judkins remained on the ground in pain, slamming his helmet on the turf. Browns trainers quickly came out to attend to Judkins and eventually brought out a cart to take him back to the locker room. The Ohio State product was wearing a brace on his right leg as he rode back to the locker room right after the two-minute warning in the first half.
Cleveland quickly ruled out its second-round pick for the remainder of the game with what the team is calling a leg injury. CBS opted not to show any replay of the play after it happened, but NFL Media reported that Judkins appeared to get his knee twisted up while getting tackled.

Browns RB depth chart
Quinshon Judkins (out – leg)
Dylan Sampson (out – hand/calf)
Trayveon Williams
Raheim Sanders
Both of Cleveland’s top two running backs are out in Week 16. Sampson was ruled out on Friday, Dec. 19 for Cleveland’s game against the Bills on Dec. 21. He is missing a second straight game with his injuries. Judkins’ leg injury near the end of the first half also knocked him out of the rest of the Week 16 game.
That leaves Williams and Raheim Sanders to fill in at running back for the rest of the Browns’ afternoon outing at home against Buffalo. Williams joined Cleveland earlier this month after the Browns signed him from from the Chargers’ practice squad. Raheim Sanders was also a former Charger after Los Angeles signed him as an undrafted free agent, and the Browns claimed him off of waivers in August.
