Coaches Poll: Oklahoma rises as Alabama, Texas tumble after wild Week 12

The US LBM Coaches Poll got a bit of a makeover after some interesting results in Week 12.

The top three teams, still unbeaten, retain their respective positions, though one did so with considerably more drama. Ohio State remains No. 1, claiming 60 of 63 first-place votes this week. Indiana holds at No. 2 with no last-minute heroics needed this time. Texas A&M is still No. 3 after its furious second-half rally to escape South Carolina, though the Aggies only have three No.-1 nods now.

Georgia inherits the No. 4 spot thanks to its decisive win against Texas. Oregon climbs back into the top five, and Mississippi and Texas Tech also gain a position.

North Texas, Houston and Tulane all return to the Top 25 in the final three positions.

Louisville, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh drop out in what was a difficult weekend for schools located near the Ohio River.
