Cooper Flagg points today: How much did Duke star score vs Stanford?

On Saturday, the 6-foot-9 guard did so without finishing as his team’s leading scorer in No. 5 Duke basketball’s 106-70 win over Stanford at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Flagg, one of the biggest stars in men’s college basketball and a future lottery pick in the 2025 NBA draft, finished with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, six assists, five rebounds and two steals in Duke’s 14th ACC win of the season.

The Blue Devils star guard once again showed he can impact the game on both ends of the ball in the resounding win over the Cardinal — part of his game that separates him from other candidates for NPOY honors.

This was on display when he grabbed the defensive rebound with one hand and then finished it off the glass for a layup with his right hand as part of Duke’s then 14-3 run in the first half.

Flagg also had a highlight play at the 17:59 mark of the second half, when he stole the ball from Stanford forward Maxime Raynaud along the Cardinal bench. After facilitating the ball up the floor to Kon Knueppel, Flagg finished off an alley-oop pass from Sion James for the fast break points.

Prior to its win, Duke learned in the first reveal of the top 16 seedings by the NCAA Tournament selection committee that it would be a No. 1 seed — No. 3 overall seed — in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament, should the season end today.
